Josh Says: A good tavern knows what it is and doesn't pretend to be anything else. William and Jeffrey's is one such tavern. Soft pretzels are a menu staple in taverns and pubs across the US. In this particular case, the simple addition of pickled veggies and a beer cheese made it difficult to conceal any error in the pretzels. Fortunately, there were no errors to conceal.  The pretzels were delicious. The Asian salad was quite filling and balanced a variety of strong flavors quite well. That said, the standout was the French Dip. It was so good that I'm completely willing to forgive the fact that it was several inches shorter in length than the menu promised. The prime rib simply melted in your mouth. The baguette was also extraordinarily well done. It managed to be light and airy while maintaining its structural integrity as it was soaked with juice and various sauces. I didn't notice anything at all about the service we received. I think that might be the best compliment you can give to a server. Kristine felt her cocktail was too sweet and it was quickly replaced with a different cocktail without issue. In our increasingly tumultuous world, its nice to have a place you can go that is free of surprises... a tavern that excels at being a tavern.

Of Interest: They feature live music on weekend evenings. You can enjoy an all you can eat brunch with $1 mimosas every Sunday morning.
